Destinations FAQ

Choosing where to go.

When is the best time to visit East Africa?
The Great Wildebeest Migration peaks between July and October in the Maasai Mara (Kenya) and February–March in the southern Serengeti (calving season). The dry seasons (January–March, July–October) are best for general wildlife viewing, while the green seasons deliver dramatic skies, newborn wildlife and lower rates. We tailor timing to your priorities.
Which East African country should I choose for my first safari?
For a first safari, Kenya's Maasai Mara is the classic choice — exceptional predator sightings, the Great Migration and outstanding lodges. For a wilder, less-crowded experience, Tanzania's Serengeti and Ngorongoro are superb. Combine both on a Kenya + Tanzania itinerary for the definitive East African safari.
Can you combine multiple countries in one trip?
Absolutely. Our most popular combinations are Kenya & Tanzania (10–14 days), Kenya + Zanzibar beach (7–10 days) and Kenya + Uganda/Rwanda gorilla add-ons. We handle all cross-border logistics, park fees, flights and transfers.
Do I need a visa for these destinations?
Most nationalities can obtain East African visas on arrival or via e-visa. We assist with every application — see our Visa & Documentation service.
Are these destinations family-friendly?
Yes. Many lodges welcome families with children of all ages, offer family rooms, kids' menus and short game drives for younger travellers. We curate family-friendly options across every destination.
